what's new at 35 mos

35 mos. Hudson's officially potty trained. It always seemed like the impossible, but once you buy the big boy pants and commit, "shhh" it happens. Pooping is a big accomplishment in the Spencer household. Lots of visits to Thomas Town at Six Flags this summer. Also, another favorite activity the pool! Tried to make it to the pool as much as possible. Hudson is super excited to be a Big Brother. He tells us the baby is a "jirl" and that he's having a Baby Sister. He kisses my belly and talks to his "sister" lots . . . keeps asking when Christmas is going to be here (that's when he gets the rest of his Geo Trax presents AND baby Sister/Brother arrives!)

what's new at 21 mos

21 mos. Ball. Pbat pbat. Watching Baseball and running around the couch when the batter hits. Watching cars drive by and doing a 3-limb cheer. Fishing, can cast his own line at the River House pier. Talking finally started right around 20-21 mos . . saying lots of words and still signing along . . Pa Vic Daycare can be summarized like this: Thomas quickly replaced by Backyardigans which was quickly replaced by the new obsession of Dora. Sponge Bob is a contender, too. Other than that, daytime activities may include pooltime, naptime, playgrounds, trip to River Farms Garden, weekend trips with Daddy to Bass Pro Shop. Up this summer family beach vacay with the Spencers and the Matias clan. Baltimore Aquarium, Sesame Street, A Day Out With Thomas. Also, Hudson started signing Baby out of nowhere and points to mommy's belly . . somehow he knows and is already really tight with the new sibling as Hudson is obsessed with my belly.

ABCs for a prize

Trying to document the ABCs at this early stage, when it is THE CUTEST time to document, isn't all that easy. But I can get obsessive with the camera, which kinda ruins the beauty of it, but here you have it, and here's more outtakes.

Snowmageddon Mountain

Lots of people were complaining about all this snow and when was it going to go away . . It snows like this once in a decade and we loved that we moved back just in time for this. No kid should have a childhood without memories of playing in the snow. We finally got to meet all the neighborhood kids and we couldn't be happier finding a neighborhood full of kids. Check out more fun in the snow.

What's new at 2 1/2?

1. Hudson has been in preschool for about six months. 3 days for 3 hours a day. He's making friends and he's learning lots.
2. He started out not talking much, now he's talking lots and singing the ABCs. We love Aldersgate!
   
3. He is still as obsessed as ever with Thomas. He recognizes numbers and colors by the corresponding Thomas character. If it's not a train book, he's not interested.
   
4. Of late, it seems he's caught the Mine-o-saurus blues.
   
5. He's got that Matias appetite, he's been eating lots. He loves vegetables, scarfed down some celery the other day #@#%^$%.
   
6. He was occasionally pottying before, but since we moved in November, he's anti-potty.
7. He actually loves this one local Indian restaurant--Shrimp--and will only go potty there.
8. Has a newfound love to snow, fearlessly climbs the neighborhood snow mountain and sleds tummy down, head first. Loves the mud puddles and hates to share "his" puddles with anyone . . .
9. Always maturing way too fast, he also hit puberty and had to start shaving . .
